Permit me to say that “the whole world works on the principle of giving;” why giving? There is a common saying that goes; “give, and it shall be given unto you” (Luke 6:38, KJV). Also, Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35, KJV). Impact is birthed from what a man gives, not what he accumulates. A man of value is expected to control affluence and have impact, but what would make his name be remembered for ages won’t be his wealth, wisdom, or material things. Men would only bring to remembrance his person based on the impact he had on them before his departure. As stated, giving births impact.
Apostle Paul in the Bible is best remembered because of the impact men and women all over the world have gained from reading his epistles to the early churches, and the extraordinary commitment he had for the great commission.
Every relationship thrives on what all sides gives; not what they take or request, but what they freely give and sacrifice. Permit me to say “no relationship can stand the test of time if only one side does the giving, or if both sides are only interested in taking and not giving.” For the farmer to harvest crops during the harvest season, he must give the earth his seed, and he must also give his sweat and time. For men of excellence to be celebrated, they had to sacrifice time and comforts for that pinnacle to be achieved. The world, I conclude, operates on the principle of “give to receive.” You would have to let go of what you currently have to make room for better. Giving could be in terms of time, money, knowledge, or other types of sacrifice, and this includes love.
When God created the earth, He had to give His Word; when He wanted man to come alive, He had to give His breath; when He wanted to reconcile man back to Him after man’s fall, He had to give His son; when it was time for Jesus to leave the earth, He gave us the comforter (Genesis 1; John 3:16; John 16:7). God has been giving us His love, even when we were not aware. God is the ultimate giver, and I am compelled to say that He created the world on the principle of giving. You have to give to receive. That is how the world operates. So, this day and every other day, let’s work on this principle called giving, which finds its core on the basis of LOVE. Give love. Thank you.
I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35, KJV).
The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped (Proverbs 11:25, MSG).
